Hi all. Have just discovered this site today - thrilled about it as heaps of Qs regarding life as a partner/wife of a soldier. My husband & I have just recently married. He's in the Royal Marines. I live on the other-side of the world (Australia) whilst he's there in the UK (South West England). It is tough. For me, this site represents a communication line with those that are in a similar situation as I am. What I would like to know is how other spouses/ partners cope with our partners/ spouses being away in the front-line, how to best communicate with them especially when they are away so often & see so many horrific things esp death & going about with our lives without their constant presence? I miss my husband heaps. We are currently processing my papers to join him there but as we all know beauracracy means delays. Anyways, happy to hear your experiences.
